At the International Economic Fair Banja Luka EXPO 2026, held from May 13 to 15 at the University City Campus complex in Banja Luka, the Erasmus+ project RDBIH – Development of Research & Development Strategies and Centers in Bosnia and Herzegovina was presented. The project is coordinated at the University of Banja Luka by the Faculty of Economics, University of Banja Luka.
As part of the fair activities, the importance of the project for strengthening research and development capacities in Bosnia and Herzegovina was highlighted, with a particular focus on enhancing cooperation between academia, the business sector, and public institutions. Visitors had the opportunity to learn more about the project objectives, planned activities, and expected outcomes, including the development of research and development strategies, the establishment of R&D centers at universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the development of a digital platform aimed at connecting researchers and businesses.
The International Economic Fair Banja Luka 2026 gathered more than 300 exhibitors from the country and abroad and represents one of the largest economic events in the region, focusing on modern technologies, the IT sector, industry, energy, and innovation.
Participation in the fair provided an opportunity to present the project to representatives of the business sector and to create opportunities for future cooperation between universities, research centers, and the business community.
