The kick-off meeting for the Development of Research & Development Strategies and Centers in Bosnia and Herzegovina (RDBIH) project was held at the University of Sarajevo on February 12-13, 2025. The event marked the official start of project activities, bringing together representatives from universities, ministries, and industry partners from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and the EU. The project, funded by Erasmus+, aims to strengthen research and development capacities in Bosnia and Herzegovina by creating R&D strategies and centers within universities.
During the meeting, partners presented the project plan, introduced their institutions and roles, and discussed key objectives and expected results. The agenda included the formation of the Steering and Local Committees, presentations of different work packages, and workshops on financial management, reporting, quality control, and sustainability. The meeting also served to align expectations and ensure smooth implementation of activities.
The event provided a valuable opportunity for networking and strengthening cooperation between institutions. Participants agreed on the next steps, including specific activities and timelines for the first year of implementation. By improving research strategies and infrastructure, the RDBIH project aims to support the modernization of universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina and increase their participation in international projects.
