From 6 to 8 July 2026, the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki, Greece, hosted a study visit and project meeting within the Erasmus+ CBHE project RDBIH – Development of Research & Development Strategies and Centers in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Representatives of all project partners participated in a three-day programme dedicated to exchanging experiences, reviewing project progress and planning upcoming activities.
The first working day was dedicated to the presentation of research and development systems and best practices from partner countries. Representatives of the University of Macedonia, the University of Novi Sad and Technische Hochschule Ulm presented their institutional approaches to research and development, including regulatory frameworks, funding mechanisms and practical experiences. The programme also included a visit to the Aristotle Institute of the University of Macedonia, followed by a discussion session among project partners
On the second day, the 6th Steering Committee meeting was held, during which partners reviewed the implementation status of the project, discussed management issues and coordinated upcoming activities. The programme continued with a study visit to the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH), where participants were introduced to the centre’s research capacities and examples of successful cooperation between research institutions, academia and industry.
The final day focused on the presentation of the results of the Generic Strategic Model-GSM for Bosnia and Herzegovina, followed by discussions on the next implementation steps, planned project activities and coordination of future deliverables. The meeting concluded with a feedback session and the closing remarks of the host institution.
The meeting provided an opportunity for project partners to exchange knowledge and experiences, strengthen cooperation and align the activities planned for the next phase of project implementation.
